Welcome to Sooda ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Sooda lets you chat with AI characters ("friends") to learn Korean in a natural, conversational way. The friends are fictional AI characters generated by software. They are not real people, are not human, and do not provide professional language instruction, medical, legal, or other professional advice. Conversations are for casual language practice and entertainment.
The App is intended for users aged 16 and older. You must be at least 16, old enough to form a binding contract in your country, and meet the App's minimum age rating to use the App. You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Sooda+ is an auto-renewable subscription offering a larger daily allowance and additional features. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase.
Responses in the App are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Do not rely on them as factual, professional, or authoritative. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion.
The App, its characters, artwork, and content are owned by the developer or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
The AI friend characters are adapted, with modifications, from NVIDIA's Nemotron-Personas-Korea dataset, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. That dataset consists of fully synthetic personas generated from public demographic distributions and contains no personal information about any real person.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision.
These Terms are concluded between you and the developer of Sooda only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's principal place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
